Not scientific, but my Dad, who worked on many ranches in Contra Costa 
County says he used to see Roadrunners in Franklin Canyon and on the 
Brinkle ranch near Port Costa when he was a teenager. This would be in 
the mid-1940s. I will ask him at Memorial Day for exact locations and 
correct here if I misstated it.
