[EBB Sightings] Franklin's Gull & Harris's Sprw.

A breeding plumaged (complete with pink wash) Franklin's Gull was seen 
sitting on Lake Merritt, Oakland near the aviary globe by the nature 
center at 3:00pm today.  Also seen were the female Tufted Duck and a 
first year Glaucous-winged Gull.

The Harris's Sparrow was seen for about 10 minutes at the usual location 
(on dirt road to the creek by the foot bridge near the interperative 
center at Sunol Reg. Park at 5:00 pm today. The bird appeared to be late 
transitional to breeding plumage.  No Golden-crowned Sparrows were seen. 
A Hutton's Vireo and Golden Eagle were also seen.
