    Dear EBBers,
    	Yesterday's EBRPD walk around the mitigation marsh yielded great looks at
    a performing Peregrine falcon, and for most of us, the season's first
    phalarope--a secondary-plumaged female red-necked phalarope on the
    southwestern pond.  Many Canadas, avocets, stilts, and killdeer
    (apparently) on nests in the fenced area were also visible.  All the
    shorebirds, including a group of semipalmated plovers, are a treat to see
    in breeding colors, too.
