Today at Briones I ran into another birding friend. We saw CEDAR WAXWINGS
and YELLOW RUMPS in the parking lot (Bear Creek). Walking on Seaborg trail
AKA Homestead Valley trail (what's with the name change?) we saw 3 LAZULI
BUNTINGS, WESTERN TANAGERS, a PACIFIC SLOPE FLYCATCHER, WESTERN BLUEBIRDS,
COOPERS HAWK, WREN TITS, plus Wilsons and Orange Crowned Warblers.
P.S. Hint for Mitchell Canyon, I forgot to mention yesterday- There were
many mixed flocks of warblers along with Chickadees and Bushtits just to
confuse things, all along the Canyon, so it pays to thoroughly check out as
many flocks as possible for the full complement.
