    Don,

I have a few March notes on Warbling Vireo in my rather thin records of
sightings. But, I think of it as one of the earliest arrivals after
    selasaphorus hummers
and Orange Crowned Warblers. I wonder if the recent heat wave had an
    effect.

This morning on a scouting trip for Wednesday's MDAS trip at Valle
Vista, Moraga, I heard lots of singing Orange-crowned Warblers, a
couple Warbling Vireos, and a Hutton's Vireo. Isn't it early for
    Warbling Vireo?

I saw/heard 55 species. The trip starts at 8:00 but the birding was good
in the parking lot from when I arrived at 7:15, so early arrival is
recommended. The grass was wet and there are a lot of very muddy
places, so appropriate footwear is recommended.
