About 11 a.m. this morning, I saw a Common Loon in the main lake at
Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area, located near Pleasanton. The
loon was seen roughly in the middle of the irregularly shaped lake, the
nearest shore being the far end of the paved parking area.
