I would love that bird to be a Ross Goose, which would be a more
interesting bird there. The size of the bill and grin patch between the
mandibles suggested Snow Goose to me. Relative size of the bird was
difficult (for me) to judge as Canada Geese were the only other birds
mingling with it, however I feel this bird was larger than the resident
domestic Mallards which were down in the creek. Ill try to sneak back
and take a photo. There was a similar bird at the new fresh water ponds
at the Berkeley shoreline today that I would hesitate more to ID, but it
also appeared to be a Snow Goose from afar.

I am making inquiries about the destruction of Black-crowned Night-Heron
roosting trees at the Martinez shoreline, and will post any findings to
    the list.

    > On Monday, we also saw the goose hanging out with the Canada Geese at
    > Martinez Shoreline Park. But we thought it was a Ross's Goose. It was
    > not
    > significantly larger than the Mallards that were in the area.
