[EBB Sightings] Hooded Mergansers at Shadow Cliffs in Pleasanton

I briefly birded the Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area in 
Pleasanton late this morning.

A pair of HOODED MERGANSER was seen swimming in the creek in the back of 
park. (They were seen in the western part of the park nearest to the 
walk-in entrance on Stanley Blvd, where the creek is quite wide.)

On the main lake, the COMMON LOON was still continuing among the many 
grebes, ducks and scaups. Also, a SPOTTED SANDPIPER was foraging on the 
beach of the main lake, nearest to the main entrance kiosk.
