    Birders,
I have already received several inquiries asking if my Ash-throated wasn't actually a Dusky-capped.
To be honest, I cannot say for absolute certain. The bird was very close but backlighting was bad and I did not have my binoculers. I did, however, pick up a very strong sense of the rusty-brown undertail which is what initially led me to my conclusion. In addition, the bill appeared smallish, and the overall size of the bird relatively large.

I told Bob Lewis that I wouldn't place a bet but I've changed my mind (why not live a little).
I am fairly certain that it was in fact an Ash-throated.

If anybody else finds a Myiarchus in the vicinity of Bernal and Valley, please try to get a better look than I did.
