[EBB Sightings] Lake Merritt Hybrid; year 2?

Hi all: 

When the hybrid reports came in, I remembered Rich
Stallcup had reported a hybrid from Lake Merritt last
winter. I did a brief unsuccessful search of the
archives last week.

Today a different search yielded a photo of Rich's
bird 
on petrels.com.  
www.petrels.com/duck1.htm

The rarity of the hybrid would lead one (well, me
anyway) to strongly consider that it's the same bird a
year later.  Migrating north and south with the same
goldeneyes.  Comparing last year's and this year's
photos may (or may not) be instructive.
