The Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow reported on Sunday to the Northern
California Rare Bird Alert was seen again today by many people at 12:30 this
afternoon at Arrowhead Marsh. Arrowhead Marsh is part of Martin Luther King
Jr. Regional Shoreline Park and is near the Oakland Airport. Enter the park
on Swan Way off Doolittle Drive (Hwy 61). Drive into the park to the very
last parking lot. Go to the left on the paved path to the little wooden
pier. There is a triangular island just west of the pier and the sparrow is
being seen at the point of the island that is closest to the pier at high
tide. This is the same location as last winter's sightings.
