Sunday found 20 Great-tailed Grackles near McNabney Marsh. A handful were
on the freight cars just across the street, north from the marsh. They
are frequently seen there. The balance were along Waterfront Road, just
past where the bridge crosses the tracks. My understanding is that this
species made the Christmas list last year for the first time.

Also along Waterfront road were two Loggerhead Shrike and a Belted
    Kingfisher.

Martinez Estuary had one female Ring-necked Duck among the Scaup flotilla.
The new parking area at the end of Berrellesa Street is almost finished.
