Sorry for the delay, but I saw the same Swamp Sparrow
at the same spot in north Livermore at 10:50 am Thursday
December 9. It has now been there since Nov. 13, and
seen by mob. From Hwy 580 East, take the Springtown
exit, go north 1 mile on Springtown Blvd, park on
Rhododendron, take the downstream trail west, on the
south side of the stream, go 110 yds, just past the first
pair of reflector posts, and scan the stream, little islands,
and vegetation. Have patience, my last two sightings
took almost two hours. Good luck.

This morning, at Del Valle Park, the adult Bald Eagle
rested on the mudflats with Turkey Vultures for about
30 minutes, from 11:30 am to noon, seen from the
area of the Snack Bar buildings.

A single Cackling Goose was in the flock of about
250 Canada Geese on the lawn just south of there.
