    This morning at Castro Point in Richmond (take the Point Molate exit off =
    Highway 580 just before getting to the Richmond anchorage of the =
    Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, Point Castro is 1/2 mile north along the =
    Point Molate road) there were two BRANT feeding on eel grass among the =
    old dock pier pilings.  In the past I hadn't noticed that eel grass grew =
    in this part of the bay, but as you can see by looking at its presence =
    along the shoreline here, it does.  Among the other birds I observed =
    here were two foraging, then feeding OSPREY and a MERLIN perched on a =
    nearshore pier piling.
