    East Bay Birders,
Sunday morning at Arrowhead we saw at least 12 CLAPPER RAILS from off the
long dock adjacent to the lawn area. It was an extremely high tide and the
RAILS were sitting on top of the grass as close as 4 feet away. We also had a
great look at our first sighting of a SORA in that area. After we left the
bridge it was rapidly covered by approx. 800 birds composed of EGRETS MARBLED
GODWITS,WILLETS and even a BLACK TURNSTONE. The other highlight was the Long
Billed Curlew that flew over. Good Birding!
