    Bob, Rich:

How hard would it be to post the Alameda County Records at
    http://www.ohloneaudubon.org/oas2.html? Many chapters do.

The area described below was the former Longspur Area until the late 80s.
Birders who have been looking for the Longspurs recently will have noticed
the bulldozers moving dirt around the area south of the RCA antennas.

    > I have taken the time to review my records regarding the
    > Longspurs in the "late 80's" near the Winton Ave entrance to HARD.
    > 11/2/87 Bob and I had both Chestnut and Lapland Longspurs.
    > These birds were found near the RCA antennas across the
    > channel from Mt Trashmore.
    > Again on 11/17/87 (w/Kevin Hintsa and) I viewed both species
    > in the same general area.
    > Yesterday Saturday AM, as Steve Huckabone fan ourselves out
    > walking south on Mt Trashmore near the local where the
    > McCown's Longspur was seen at 7 AM.
    > A Longspur species flew towards the middle of the mound over
    > my left shoulder the bird had a pale throat and underparts.
    > We did not see this bird again soooooooooo, McCown's??? Sun
    > was in my face so I was unable to view the tail.
