On Sunday, the 24th, I checked the Moraga Country Club pond and found 8 =
Ring-necked Ducks had arrived - 2 were males.

On Monday, the 25th, the Pine Siskins had arrived in my backyard. About =
10 had taken over the thistle sock feeder. One particular bird with =
lots of bright yellow was very aggressively chasing the goldfinches and =
it was so exciting to see how extensive the yellow is - something I had =
    never noticed before.

So, I hung up another long sock feeder and today both of my feeders were =
covered with Pine Siskins - I counted about 30.
