[EBB Sightings] swifts in Montclair?

This evening  at  dusk I saw in my back yard which borders on the creek 
adjacent to Larry Lane a swift which  I think may have been a Vaux's. 
Earlier I saw a few others which I wasn't as sure of.  The crickets were 
stridulating loudly. And then I saw a bat! Rather buggy evening. Does 
anyone know about Vaux's swift's habits during migration? Or for that 
matter about bats in Montclair?
