I am a beginning birder but I'm quite sure I saw a small flock of Western
Bluebirds on Burnett Avenue in Concord at 10 a.m. today because of their
distinctive look (blue & chestnut colors). I was waiting for my car to be serviced at
the Toyota Dealership so I walked across and down the street 1/2 block and
sat on a lone bench where they flew about trees and hunted for insects in the
grass. I saw about 6 of them.
