I found my first of the season White-crowned Sparrow (also a juvenile)
at Robinson Park in Livermore on Saturday, 11 September 2004 while
looking for Art Edwards' Rose-breasted Grosbeak which I did not re-find.
This area was very birdy with lots of Yellow Warblers, one male
Phainopepla, a couple Western Tanagers, and at least one Willow
    Flycatcher.
