    Interesting. Since turkeys are a recent addition to our local avifauna,
    and would pose no threat to crows, I wonder if the crows aren't just
    generalizing to a large, perched bird (i.e., hawk-like)? I remember
    reading somewhere that crows would attack a crow researcher in the field
    if he carried a black cloth, which the crows generalized to be a dead
    crow.
    
    A Cooper's hawk was perched on my TV antenna yesterday, improving my
    reception. Or at the very least, raising the bar for my backyard
    sightings.
    He was undoubtedly hoping for escapes from my aviary; dream on, brother.
