    Hi E. B. Birders,
    
    There was a juvenile Pigeon Guillemot at the Emeryville Marina (officially called Emery Cove Yacht Harbor) this afternoon about 2:00 pm.   This bird was bathing and preening in the water near the ramp that leads down to docks "A B & C".   Some of the plumage around the neck, head, and tail looked a bit water-logged, but the bird didn't act sick or injured. It yawned at one point and I got to see the bright red mouth lining.  The legs, unlike what the Sibley Guide shows, were a dusky pinkish in bright sun, almost blackish when seen in the shade.
