Visited Hayward Regional Shoreline at Winton Sunday between 4 and 7 pm. In
addition to the usual suspects, the pond north of Mount Trashmore had
300-500 RED KNOTS, many still showing orange on the breast. Also a Single
SNOWY PLOVER and 3 juvenile RED-NECKED PHALAROPES. Around sunset, a juvenile
WHITE-TAILED kite hover hunted over Mount Trashmore. It still showed a buffy
breast band.
