Sunol Area/Calaveras Rd., Alameda Co., 2/1 - 2/5/10
(~2 miles e. of I-680 along Calaveras Rd. and within Alameda Creek)
Recent Sightings: One Casual Visitor and All Others: Seasonal Sightings/Birds of Local Concern
- N. FLICKER (YELLOW-SHAFTED subspecies) (1) (casual visitor)
- WOOD DUCK (5 males, 4 females, in Alameda Creek) (beautiful!)
- TREE SWALLOW (3; early returnees or "over-wintering" individuals? No way of knowing, but nice to see them)
- PEREGRINE FALCON (1)
- GOLDEN EAGLE (1, subadult)
- WHITE-THROATED SWIFT (5)
