There is a flock of about 20 or so in the Ascot Drive/Ascot Ct. area of
Moraga. We quite often have to stop on Ascot Drive while the males fan
their tails to "protect" females about to enter the street or already
wandering in it. (I do have the fanning tail sex role correct, don't I?
I'm not a real knowledgeable birder.)
"Our" flock must be pretty comfortable -- yesterday morning I stood very
still observing them and a female almost walked right up to me. No
Christmas dinner birds in our flock!
