I regulary see a fair number of Brown Pelicans doing their dive bombing in
the Bay next to Coyote Hills. While there is often a huge group (100-150)
of White Pelicans in the North Marsh and vicinity, the Browns are on the
other side of the hill and well to the south.

To get to this specific spot, make a left at the first parking lot (NOT by
the visitor center) and park at the end. Continue on the foot path that
goes from the end of the parking area around the hill. You'll wind up
with the South Marsh on one side and a picnic area on the other. Continue
between these and through the gap in the hills to the bay. Once you get
through the hills, continue onto the path that goes into the bay (No Name
Trail?). They're usually not that far from land.

This area can be a good spot in general. There's a pumping station right
there that, when running, draws quite the crowd. The path all the way
into the bay is also a beautiful, albeit windy, bike ride.
