[EBB Sightings] California Thrasher

Dear Phila and Jaan,

Almost 30 years ago, I bought my wife a bird feeder for Mother's Day.  After birds started coming, we bought a field guide.  The bird that really got me going as a birder was a California Thrasher that walked through our back yard(I couldn't believe the size of the curved bill.)  There's never been another one.

We live along Las Trampas Creek in Lafayette near Olymmpic and Pleasant Hill and are loaded with oaks, cottonwoods, and buckeyes, but no chapparal.
