Hi Phila and EBB birders,
At my house in a typical Livermore suburb, we had a California Thrasher
come and feed on seeds on the back yard patio on May 7, 2001. I'm not
sure if it was a one-day event, but I have had no trace of thrashers here
before (dating to fall 1993) or since. At the time, there was some open
pastureland about 200 meters from us, but the nearest thrasher habitat and
the nearest spot I have found thrashers is several miles away. There is a
creek about 300 meters away, but I have not had any thrashers there.
