If you want to get your red-masked parakeet fix it's only a quick (ahem! trying to keep a straight face) drive over the bridge to the City. They've spread to all corners of San Francisco and I would estimate we have in excess of a hundred birds in at least a half dozen flocks or more. Curious though that they are thriving here yet seem to have disappeared from berkeley. It may be due to the fact that you guys have way more breeding Cooper's Hawks perhaps...
