    Hi Birders-

The male Eurasian Wigeon continues at Coyote Hill Regional Park on the pond
across from the visitor center. Also on the pond was another male that
looked pretty much much like a full-blooded Euro-widge except for being very
slightly paler and having grayish cheeks. What this means in regard to
parentage, age, molt, or some other variation in plumage, I know not. All
other presumed Euro/American Wigeons I have seen have had some greenish
around the eye and/or pinkish-brown patches on the flanks. Some other birds
seen in the park: the Great Horned Owl easily seen from almost anywhere near
the visitor center and two House Wrens at a nest in Hoot Hollow, and a
Wilson's Warbler, Allen's Hummingbird, and Hermit Thrush in the butterfly
garden. A California Quail was heard in the vicinity of the visitor center.
    A very nice day there.
