I started at around 7:00AM parking on the north end of the white concrete
bridge on Arroyo Rd just south of Veterans Park. A Western Wood Pewee was
calling and No Rough-winged Swallows swirling about. On the south end of
bridge a singing Black-headed Grosbeak and silent female where in the
Buckeye Trees along with a silent male Western Tanager. I spotted a Yellow
Warbler in the Willow trees from the trail into the riparian. One willow
    tree had 3 Warbling Vireos, 1 Orange-crowned Warbler and 2 Yellow-Rumps. I
spotted several California Thrashers also singing while sitting in the sun's
rays. Ash-throated Flycatchers were abundant along the entire length of my
hike. Three of the four nest boxes hold Western Bluebirds, 1 with no eggs, 1
with 1 egg and the third has 5 eggs, the forth holds a Tree Swallow nest but
    no eggs yet.
So far this spring I've had two snake encounters. I found a large fat
Western Diamondback crossing Patterson Pass Rd about 2 weeks ago then
yesterday I was startled by a large Gopher Snake at Tassajara Creek Park.
    Good birding.
