I went back a few hours later, about 4:00pm and the Cackling Goose was
nowhere to be found. Sorry if anyone trudged out there to look for
the goose. . .
The Bufflehead however is still there. I've not seen behavior like
its before. It consistently hung out with the Canada Geese, the
Mallards, and the domestic ducks, diving beneath them to feed. It
often was only a couple of feet from shore and at times within 15 feet
of me.
