Hi Birders,
Anyone aware of the small hawk or falcon pair that habituate the area around John Muir Hospital in downtown Concord? I frequently see one of them atop a utility pole, or in flight, especially around 7:00 am as I walk to BART. I'm not familiar with raptors, but would like to know what these guys are. They are on the small side, seem to me to have falcon silhouettes and call as they rapidly fly in large circles around the area. Exact location of the pole is on Maple St, very close to the intersection with East St.
Thanks!
Alan
