I was involved with the Condor release program about 5 years ago with the
Ventana Wilderness Society. I could contact Kelly Sorenson (in charge of
the project) or Joe Burnett (biologist) to see if they've recorded any birds
heading north out of their traditional range.

    Just to play devil's advocate.

Apparently, several of the Pinnacles Condors wear transponders and are
followed around by satellites (which must be an eerie feeling). One
particular bird seems to have wanderlust and has been tracked to Coalinga,
and on another occasion to Fremont.

So hoping for California Condor on your yard list isn't totally
    unreasonable.
