It seems the varied thrushes are back in town.  I believe one was reported a few weeks ago in the Berkeley area (I can't find the posting now.)  Today while jogging on the back side of Lake Chabot, I saw one thrush (no binocs, but I got a reasonable look) and heard two more.

Maybe it will be a better year for the thrushes than last year.
