Friday evening at 6:00 pm two white pelicans were successfully fishing by
the island in the lake at Miller-Knox Park at Point Richmond. About 15
minutes later a flock of around 50 white pelicans flew in and ten of those
joined the fishers. The rest floated around at the end away from the island
then some came out on the shore to lounge around. There were so close--and
the other picnickers there to escape the heat (as we were) left the pelicans
alone.
