I saw at least two of Bob's WANDERING TATTLERS at 12:45 this afternoon (may
have been three, but they were wandering in and out of the rocks, so it was
hard to keep track). No pelicans, but there a few Least and a few Caspian
    Terns.

Just a note about the little spit of land -- at high tide it's inaccessible,
but at low tide, when the mudflats are exposed, it is connected to both the
larger breakwater and the shore. People often cross over and climb around on
the rocks, flushing whatever birds may be there. Luckily for me, that was
    not the case today.

    Good birding,

I had 3 WANDERING TATTLERS at the Tern island just off
shore of the San Leandro Marina today at 8:30. With
them were 6 LEAST TERNS and 7 BROWN PELICANS. This is
the little spit of land adjacent to the parcourse and
the larger island at the south end of the marina. To
get there, you drive to the west end of Marina Way off
of 880 in San Leandro and then south paralleling the
golf course to the last parking lot on your right.
Take the exercise trail west and then north along the
lagoon and the small island is on your left after a
    couple hundred yards
