And I spent a couple of hours this afternoon birding around the
nursery/Vallejo Adobe. I couldn't find the Winter Wren either, but I did see the (a)
White-throated Sparrow (the third one I've seen this week!). I also found a
nice flock of Purple Finches there. Hey Joe, where exactly did you spot that
    Winter Wren?

I spent three hours this morning combing the grounds of Mission
Nursery/Vallejo Adobe Mission looking for the Winter Wren reported by Joe
Devine. Although I never located the Winter Wren the place was full of birds
including a Varied Thrush. I heard the Varied Thrush before finding it in
some conifer trees. Also of interest was a White-throated Sparrow and at
least two Townsend Warblers. I've never been to this little park but it's
very birdie and features a wide variety of flora. Could be a interesting
    spot this spring.
