    Hi all:

I took off for Livermore at 10:30 hoping for a raptor
kind of day and the rain started immediately. That
    being said, there were Red-tails and Kestrels aplenty;
    and some other fun birds:

Eurasian Collared-Dove -- 1/4 mile east of Mt. House
    on Kelso
Tri-colored Blackbirds -- Altamont Pass Rd. before
Grant Line, and Kelso Rd. west of Mt. House. In both
cases there were only either 2 or 3 mixed in with a
    larger blackbird flock.
A flash of white on an otherwise barren field had me
    thinking .... mini-meadowlarks???? Lark Sparrows,
flock of 26 on Kelso 1/2 mile east of Mt. House.
Burrowing Owl in the field on the north side of
    Raymond just east of Dagnino.
Two Ferruginous Hawks in the trees behind the house
just south of May School Rd. on Livermore. This was
near sunset, so i wouldn't be surprised if this isn't
    the roosting tree.
A couple of pictures from today can be seen at:

    Good birding,
