Friends: Thank you all for the quick response to my inquiry. These are
Cayuga ducks (named for Lake Cayuga, New York, one of the Finger Lakes, I
think, maybe the one that Cornell is located on). The breed goes back to
1841, it is an American domestic breed, and since the late 1980s it has been
making a return as a show duck for breeders.
