Hi Folks,

The Coast Guard  and the Office of Spill 
Prevention and Response  
(Cal Fish & Game) are the lead agencies involved in the clean-up effort. 
They are currently working to contain and clean up as much oil as 
possible. The Sanctuary assists by providing Coast Guard with 
information on natural resources status and distribution from sanctuary 
monitoring programs like Beach Watch 
trained to work with hazardous materials - and these volunteers are 
surveying beaches and oiled wildlife today.
