    this is another slightly out of area posting, but I was recently  
    visiting the Botanical Garden in Mendocino and there were a bunch of  
    acorn woodpeckers there-- but no oaks. Does anyone have any ideas on  
    what they might be doing there? I don't think there are many oaks in  
    that vicinity without having to go quite a bit inland....I know they  
    eat other types of seeds and nuts and bugs, but I thought they really  
    needed oaks and their granaries....??
