[EBB Sightings] Hayward Shoreline - yesterday and today

Seen at the shoreline yesterday and this morning - 


White-faced Ibis - 2 flying by on 5/6, 31 in Triangle Marsh (west of Mt. Trashmore) on 5/7 (Peter and Brian saw 5 over Ora Loma Marsh later that morning.

Shorebirds at Frank's Dump West on 5/6, incuded 12 Red Knots, 4 Sanderlings, and about 100 Red-necked Phalaropes.

White-throated Swift - 2 flew over Winton Ave. on 5/6.

Nuttall's Woodpecker - 1 at Grant Ave. on 5/6.

Olive-sided Flycatcher - 1 on 5/7 near the park office.

Western Wood Pewee - 3 on 5/6 and 2 on 5/7, includes 1 both days near the park office.

Pacific-slope Flycatcher - 1 on 5/7 near Winton Ave.

Empid. sp. - 1 on 5/6 at Winton Ave. (poor look at it, probably a Hammond's).

Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 1 on 5/7 at Winton Ave.

Swainson's Thrush - 1 0n 5/6 and 1 on 5/7 at Winton Ave.

Cassin's Vireo - 1 on 5/6 at Winton Ave. was only the 5th one I have seen here.

Warbling Vireo - 1 on 5/6 and 1 on 5/7 at Winton Ave.

Yellow Warbler - 1 on 5/6 at Winton Ave.

Hermit Warbler - 1 on 5/7 at Winton Ave., rarely seen here.

Western Tanager - 1 male on 5/6 at Winton Ave.

Black-headed Grosbeak - 1 male on 5/7 at Winton Ave.

Lazuli Bunting - 3 on 5/6 (2 males, 1 female) and 1 male on 5/7 at Winton Ave. Rarely seen at the shoreline. I have never seen more than 1 in a day at the shoreline.

Golden-crowned Sparrow - 2 on 5/6 at Frank's East Trees and 1 on 5/7 across the street from the park office.

Hooded Oriole - 1 male on 5/6 at Frank's East Trees.
