Hi birders,
Today (Sat, 1/27/07) I saw Bob's Red-naped Sapsucker in exactly the same
place he reported it. I also had one Varied Thrush under that oak tree, as well
as another VATH in the picnic area.
Good birding,

Sunol Regional Park:
1 Red-naped Sapsucker. Cross the footbridge (near Visitor Center) and turn
right. Shortly there is a dirt road going up to the left and shortly after
a dirt road going down to the creek on the right. Then there is a huge tree
on the right with a single picnic table under it. The sapsucker was in the
top of the section of tree closes to the trail.
1 White-throated Sparrow feeding on ground under this same tree with
Golden-c. Sparrows and Varied Thrush.
