Today (12-2pm) at the north section of the small wooded park just east of
the Berkeley Marina pier, I observed a White-throated Sparrow feeding on the
ground. At least one Golden-crowned Kinglet was seen up in the pines, as
were several Red-breasted Nuthatches and a Nuttall's Woodpecker. Out on the
bay inlet (south of the entrance road), there was an Elegant Tern and a
Belted Kingfisher.
At C. Chavez park a flock of American Pipits (40+) was on the northeast
section of the green and a Pelagic Cormorant was seen from the eastern
perimeter trail.
