I was at the Winton Ave. parking area and in the fennel aroundt he base of Mt. 'T' three times today. The times were 0745 to 0945, 1300 to 1500, and 1630 to 1730. Most birds were not seen all three times during the day, the second time was best.

    The following was seen:

    Western Wood-Pewee - 1
    Willow Flycatcher - 1
    Pacific-slope Flycatcher - 1
Rock Wren - 1, first shoreline record that I know about.
    House Wren - 1
    Warbling Vireo - 1
    Orange-crowned Warbler - 2
    Yellow Warbler - 12 to 15
    Common Yellowthroat - 2
    Wilsons Warbler - 2
    Brewers Sparrow - 1
    Vesper Sparrow - 1
White-crowned Sparrow - 1 immature, first at the shoreline this fall.
Cassins Finch - 1 in female-like plumage, very early for the shoreline.

Between the first and second times, I went to Berkeley and saw the Black-throated Sparrow.
Between the second and third times, I went to Franks Dump West and saw the 2 Red Phlaropes that Peter
Drammer and Shiela Junge saw yesterday. These were the only phalaropes seen here. The City of Hayward
ponds had over 1000 Red-necked Phalaropes.

    Good Birding
