    Several people on this list have been reporting unusual numbers Cedar
    Waxwings this Spring.

    I would like to chime in and say "me too".

    Every Tuesday I walk past the Live Science Bldg. on UC Berkeley
    campus at 6:15 pm and there is a flock of ca. 20 Waxwings in a
    leafless tree holding so still I first thought them leaves;
    evidently this is their roosting spot for the night.

    I find it surprising that such a nomadic species should be so site
    specific for so long (month at least in same spot at same time).

    I remember a EB Christmas Bird Count about five years ago with record
    numbers of robin and Waxwing but there are not a lot of robins around
    now.

    cheers,
