I saw the California Thrasher in the Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve this
morning at 10:20 in the same location it has recently been seen by others
(about two-tenths of a mile along the paved path from the parking lot, just
past where the path splits in two to go around Round Top, starting to take
the left hand path going north). I heard the California Thrasher singing i=
    n
the trees to the east of the path. It was near the top of what I believe i=
    s
a twenty foot tall laurel tree. It was there for five minutes, then flew
down into the brush for about 10 minutes, where I could no longer see it,
and then it flew up into another laurel tree and sang for another ten
minutes before disappearing agian back down in the brush.
