Today between approximately 12:40 and 1:00, four birders including myself
observed the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker in Newhall Community Park. The bird
was sighted in the tree that Ted Robertson and Hugh Harvey had described and
posted earlier. It foraged in that tree as well as in a pine tree across
Galindo Creek. It eventually flew to a tree decorated with Christmas lights
across the creek.
