The male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker continued this morning in Newhall =
Community Park in Concord. From Ygnacio Valley Road, go north on Ayers, =
across from the Cal-State Eastbay campus. Take the 2nd left onto Turtle =
Creek and park on the right in the first lot. Walk across the soccer =
fields towards the bathrooms and Galindo Creek. Behind the maintenance =
buildings to the left is a small flowering tree with an excavation in =
front of it. The Yellow-bellied Sapsucker was seen in this tree about =
10:15 this morning.
